Organizations
This screen will appear if the program benefits only nonprofit organizations and charities. Because of this, you must add your organization to your account in the Applicant Portal before starting the application.
You will search for your organization using its government tax identification number, name, or country in the Select Your Organization screen. It is important to remember that we use the information on file with the various government agencies that register charities around the world when searching. This means that the information we have may not exactly match how you refer to your organization.
Here are a few tips to help you optimize your search:
-
Search by the government tax identification number (i.e., the government issued ID used to uniquely identify the charity). Examples include EIN, Tax ID, VAT, BN, or PAN Number.
-
Check for abbreviations. For example, try "Co" instead of "County".
-
Check spelling and concatenations. For example, use "FoodBack" instead of "Food Bank".
-
Do not use common words and punctuation. Remove words like "a" and "the" as well as punctuation like periods, commas, and dashes.
-
Do not use suffixes. For example, use "bird" and not "birds" or "walk" and not "walked".
