Interact with Dashboards
Users may choose to only view the widgets shown on a dashboard. However, many of the widgets are interactive and allow the viewer to engage with the information being displayed.
Note: Widget is the term used to describe the charts, tables, and cards that display data on a dashboard.

Widgets can be expanded or opened in a pop-up modal, allowing users to more easily view and interact with complex data.
-
Navigate to the Home page.
-
Select the tab for the dashboard to be viewed.
-
Select the Expand icon at the top of the widget to open the chart or table in a pop-up modal.
Note: The Expand option is not available for statistics cards (i.e., Stat widgets).

The data shown in many charts can be filtered dynamically. This allows users to view a subset of the original data without requiring a new widget or dashboard be created.
-
Navigate to the Home page.
-
Select the tab for the dashboard to be viewed.
-
In the widget's legend, select the item or label to hide it.
Tip: The chart will automatically adjust to remove this data from the view, and the label will appear marked out in the legend.
-
Select the item or label again to return it to its original view.
Note: Dynamic filtering only impacts the view of the widget. It does not have an effect on the widget’s configuration or settings.

The majority of widgets allow users to drill down and open a table that displays detailed data.
-
Navigate to the Home page.
-
Select the tab for the dashboard to be viewed.
-
Select the chart to open a table in a new pop-up modal.
Note: Drill down settings must be configured for the widget to enable this functionality. Learn more.

In most cases, it is possible to access a specific data record from the drill down table.

GrantsConnect does not support downloading an entire dashboard. Instead, users may download widgets to be included in communications, records, etc.
