How do I calculate the total cash amount (Budget total) for an in-kind simple budget?

A calculator tool is available in the Create Budget modal that can help determine the Budget total based on in-kind categories and items.

Tip: In-kind categories and items must be created in the client's account to use this tool. Learn more.

1. In theCreate Budget screen, select Calculate total.

2. Select the checkbox next to the in-kind items to include in the calculation.

3. Specify the number of units for each item checked. The Total field for each item will automatically update based on the number entered.

4. Refer to the Total of selected items field for the cash value. This field will automatically update based on the amount in the Total value field (i.e., number of units multiplied by the value of the item) of each item selected.

5. Select Save to return to the Create Budget screen and finalize the budget.

Note: All items selected in the calculator are to help determine a cash value only. These items will not be associated with your final budget in any way. Awards and payments based on this budget will not be limited to the items used in the calculator to determine the cash value.
