Add Layout Components to Forms

  1. In the Form Builder toolbox, select the Layout group.

  2. Click on one of the available layout components and drag it onto the form page.

    • Columns - Add columns to the form. After being added to the form, you can then drag and drop desired fields into the columns.

    • Field set - Wrap a group of fields with a title. No styling is available for this component.

    • Panel - Wrap a group of fields with a title and styling.

Note: Panels can be configured to be collapsed by the applicant or even initially collapsed upon opening the form. This can help to save visual space on your form.

    • Table - Create a table with columns and rows that allow you to add additional components within it.

    • Well - Group fields together. There is no title or styling available for this component.

Note: Wells are only noticeable when editing the form as they help the Grant Manager to organize fields on the back-end. Because there is no styling or title available, this may not be visible to the form's audience.

  3. On the Configuration screen that appears, configure the settings for the component.

Note: The Configuration options available for each component will differ. Generally, this includes Details, API, and Display. For more information, see Configure Forms and Form Fields.

  4. Save your changes.

After the layout component has been added to the form, you will be able to move it around the page or even copy and paste it into a new page in the form.
