Set Up Field Validation
You can configure fields so that they automatically validate a response against criteria you define during setup. Through this process, you can use our conditional logic functionality to define the conditions and rules that these responses will be evaluated against in addition to any standard options (e.g., word count, number of responses) available for specific field types.
Note: This option is only available for Field group field types.

Hover over the field on the form page.

Select the Edit component icon from the toolbar that appears.

In the Configuration screen, select the Validation tab.

Select the checkbox to require that all options have a response.

Provide a custom error message that will appear if the applicant or Grant Manager does not respond to all options.

Save your changes.
Note: This option is available for Field group and Table field types.

Hover over the field on the form page.

Select the Edit component icon from the toolbar that appears.

In the Configuration screen, select the Validation tab.

Specify a minimum or maximum number of responses.
Note: The number specified will be shown in the form component.

Provide a custom error message that will appear if the applicant or Grant Manager does not provide a response for all options or entries do not match the other validation requirements.

Save your changes.
Note: This option is available for Select box and Picklist field types.

Select the Edit component icon from the toolbar that appears.

In the Configuration screen, select the Validation tab.

Specify a minimum or maximum number of items that can be selected.
Note: The number specified will be shown in the form component.

Provide a custom error message that will appear if the applicant or Grant Manager does not select the required amount or entries do not match the other validation requirements.

Save your changes.
Note: This option is only available for Number field types.

Select the Edit component icon from the toolbar that appears.

In the Configuration screen, select the Validation tab.

Specify a minimum or maximum value that will be accepted.

Provide a custom error message that will appear if the applicant or Grant Manager does not meet the requirements defined.

Save your changes.
Note: This option is only available for Field group field types.

Select the Edit component icon from the toolbar that appears.

In the Configuration screen, select the Validation tab.

Specify a value that the responses must add up to (e.g., 100).
Note: Field group fields that uses percentages require the options to total up to 100% by default.

Provide a custom error message that will appear if the applicant or Grant Manager does not meet the requirements defined.
