Cut and Paste Layout Components

You can cut and paste layout components across a form, allowing you to move a component to a new location in the page or to a different page in the form with little effort.

Warning: Unlike with copy and paste, this will impact the original component directly. No copy is made during this process.

1. Hover over the component on the form page.

2. Select the Cut component icon from the toolbar that appears.

   

3. Navigate to the layout component or field that you want to proceed the component.

4. Select one of the following options from the toolbar that appears above the component.

   

   • Paste above - It will be pasted directly above the component or field.

   • Paste below - It will be pasted directly below the component or field.

   • Paste inside container - It will pasted inside of the layout component.

     Note: This option only appears for components that act as a container, such as wells and columns.

Tip: If you need to add a custom data table field to a column or panel, it is recommended to cut and paste the field into the layout component rather than drag and drop.
