Translate Application Form Responses
Use Translate applicant responses to translate application form responses into the client default language. This helps reviewers understand content submitted in another language and improves application review quality.
Tip: The feature is available only when it is turned on for the client account. Contact your Account Manager or CSM to enable it.
How translation works
-
Fields translate automatically except for Text and Text area fields.
-
To translate Text and Text area responses, enable Translate applicant responses when you configure the field.
-
Application responses display in their original language. Select View translated responses to view the translated version.
-
Translation works only when applicants submit an application in a language different from the client's default language.

Troubleshoot translation issues
Missing Translate applicant responses setting
If you do not see this setting when you add or edit a Text or Text area field:
-
Confirm the client account has the feature enabled. Contact your Account Manager or CSM to enable it.
-
Confirm the field type is Text or Text area.
Missing View translated responses option
If the option does not appear in the Application View:
-
Confirm the feature is enabled for the client account.
-
Confirm the application was submitted in a language different from the client's default language. The option does not appear when the form is submitted in the default language.
Untranslated field response
A response might not translate because:
-
The Text or Text area field does not have Translate applicant responses turned on.
-
The machine translation tool could not confidently translate the content. This may occur because of cultural context, technical language, or limited context.
