What is the relationship between YourCause and the Blackbaud Giving Fund?

The Blackbaud Giving Fund is a 501(c)3 Public Charity. Donations made through YourCause are legally made to the Blackbaud Giving Fund. The Blackbaud Giving Fund issues the tax acknowledgment and use the donor's charity selection at the time they make the contribution to make a corresponding grant to such charity in the amount of the donor's original donation.

The Blackbaud Giving Fund operates exclusively for charitable purposes. It is a legal entity separate from and independent of Blackbaud.

How does this apply to my organization?

The Blackbaud Giving Fund applies only to clients that process payments through YourCause. If your organization account is configured to use Client and YourCause or YourCause as the payment processor, you receive funds through the Blackbaud Giving Fund as long as you follow its rules and regulations.

Organizations that process payments themselves do not receive funds through the Blackbaud Giving Fund.
