Hardware for placing calls
Blackbaud Guided Fundraising uses a cloud-based web dialer so that you can start a call by selecting a button, without the need for complicated equipment or hardware. You place calls directly through their computer using VoIP (Voice over IP). The dialer uses WebRTC technology, which encrypts and secures the call.
Note: The first time you place a phone call, your web browser will prompt you for permission to use the computer’s microphone. You need to select “Allow” on the browser prompt before Guided Fundraising will place the call.

You can use any type of headphones or headset that is compatible with your computer for dialing. The following types of headsets have been tested and are compatible with the dialing technology used for Blackbaud Guided Fundraising, so long as they are supported by the your computer:
-
USB headsets
-
Bluetooth headsets
-
Earbuds and other headsets that connect using the headphone jack

The call quality for in-browser dialing will depend on the reliability of your internet connection. For the best results, ensure your agents are using a wired internet connection. You can use WiFi if needed, but you should ensure you are in an area with a reliable WiFi connection.
This WebRTC technology used for dialing in Blackbaud Guided Fundraising is only available on Chrome and Firefox.
