Configure ETL Settings
When you create the standard data mart, records from the source database are placed in the data mart for complex reporting and analysis. To refresh the data mart with new data, you use the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) process to extract new records from source database, transform the records to meet your requirements, and load them in the data mart.
To configure the settings for the ETL process, click ETL configuration under Tasks on the Data Marts page. The ETL Configuration page appears. On this page, you can select the gift types to include in the ETL process and a cutoff date to exclude gifts before a selected date.
Under Define configuration, the cutoff date appears for gifts to include in the ETL process. If you do not use a cutoff date, all gift dates are included. The grid also displays the gift types that are included in the ETL process.
After you configure the settings for your ETL process, we recommend that you create a queue process for the Data Mart Start ETL Refresh Job Business Process. After you create this queue process, you can schedule the ETL process to run at regular intervals.
For information about how to set up a queue process, see the Administration section of the help file.
