DataListSpec Elements

The following child elements are available for the root DataListSpec element on data list specs.

Element	Description
AlterExistingPages	Contains directives for how other pages should be modified at the time that this spec is uploaded.
CLRDataList	Used to describe a datalist based on CLR code.
Context	The Context element contains the record type and associated parameter name that is required by the datalist.
DependencyList	Lists catalog items on which this item depends.
EmailFeedAlert	Optional. Describes elements necessary to use this datalist to generate email alerts.
ImpliedSecurityList	Lists features which will be granted security rights via this spec.
InstalledProductList	Lists the optionally installed components that must be installed for this feature to be available.
LastUpdatedSource	If the data list data is static, this element indicates how the date when the data was last updated can be retrieved.
MetaTags	Allows custom metadata to be associated with this Catalog item via arbitrary xml attributes or elements.
Output	The Output element describes the set of output columns returned by the datalist.
Parameters	The Parameters element describes the set of parameters to the datalist.
ResourceFile	Describes the resource file containing the strings required for localization.
RSSFeeed	Optional. Describes elements necessary to render this datalist as an RSS feed.
SiteSecurity	The SiteSecurity element defines the table and column against which to check site access.
SPDataList	Used to describe a datalist based on a stored procedure.
TaskReminderAlert	Optional. Describes element necessary to use this datalist to generate task reminders.
