Overview of Infinity Pages
Pages are the way to organize features within the Infinity user interface. Pages contain the majority of the visual elements found throughout the shell, and they organize these user interface-related features into a user-friendly presentation.
The basic components of a page include:
-
A page header that contains a caption and an optional image. It can also display contextual links ("bread crumbs" in web speak).
-
An optional summary section is defined by a View Data Form Spec. It typically displays "at a glance" information about an individual record, with additional details displayed elsewhere on the page.
-
An optional tab set is the primary layout container on the form. The tabs section uses the traditional tab metaphor to separate different aspects of and functionality supporting an entity.
-
Page sections within the tabs display content from sources such as view data forms and data lists.
-
Action groups on both the page and within sections call other features or navigate to other pages.
