To create a Teaser Intro contribution

  1. If you received an email solicitation:
    1. Read the information and click contribute content to the collection near the bottom of the message.

    2. On the site Login page, type the user name and password the site administrator provided to access the Creating Contribution page.

  2. If you received a Web address (no link):
    1. Copy the Web address.

    2. Paste the address into your Web browser Address bar and press Enter.

    3. On the site Login page, type your user name and password.

  3. On the Creating Contribution page:
    1. Enter a name for this contribution: Type a unique label to identify this content in the Contribution list.

    2. Select a collection for this content: Verify that the selected collection is the appropriate audience for the teaser. Select a different option if necessary.

    3. Select a solicitation for this content: Verify that the selected solicitation is the correct one. If you receive more than one solicitation, Cancel this contribution and go back to your email solicitations to select the correct one.

  4. Click Next.

  5. For Set publication and expiration dates for this content:
    1. Leave No publication or expiration date selected to make this teaser available for use indefinitely.

    2. Click This content is valid for 1 day only and select the Month, Day, and Year when this teaser can appear on a page or in an email message. Use this option for daily messages and tips.

    3. Click This content is valid for this date range and select the starting and ending Month, Day, and Year when this teaser can appear on a page or in an email message.

  6. Click Next.

  7. If you are linking this Teaser Intro to a place internal to the site:
    1. In the Link Text box, type a label that readers can click to read more of the story. Make it compelling to entice readers to click the link.

    2. On the Link Selector menu, select the component where you are linking (for example, a PageBuilder page or a donation form).

    3. In the Link Selector box, select an option and click Insert. The appropriate information appears in the Link URL box.

  8. If you are linking this Teaser Intro to an external Web page:
    1. In the Link Text box, type a label that readers can click to read more of the story. Make it compelling to entice readers to click the link.

    2. Open the page where you want to link in your Web browser and copy the URL from the address bar, including the http:// portion of the address.

    3. Paste the address into the Link URL field.

  9. In the Blurb box, type up to 280 of additional information to help inform and entice the reader to click the Teaser Intro link.

  10. Click Next.

  11. On the View Contribution page, check for spelling and grammar errors and completeness and accuracy. To make changes, click Previous and repeat the steps above as necessary.

  12. When you are done , click Finish. The system saves your content to the Contributions list in Draft format if approval is required.
