Settlement Summary Report

The Settlement Summary Report provides summarized information about the settlement of all forms of payment on your site. The report includes credit card transactions (processed either online or offline) as well as cash, checks, and credit cards that are entered offline. Each form of payment is reported as a batch (Cash, Checks, Visa Cards, etc.) and the report provides both the Transaction Amount and the Transaction Count for each form of payment. You can choose to view only settled transactions, unsettled transactions, or both.

A Detail link for each form of payment allows you to access detailed records for that form of payment.

Transactions are settled in batches for your site. Settlements are run early in the morning (approximately 4 AM) and include separate batches for checks, cash transactions, and each type of credit card. Each batch is assigned a batch number, either by the merchant account or by Luminate Online. Both the Settlement Report and the Settlement Summary Report provide the batch number associated with each settlement.

Settlement Summary Report contents

This report shows summarized information about all forms of payment (Cash, Checks, Visa Cards, etc.). The report provides the Transaction Amount and Transaction Count for each form of payment for a given period of time. You can choose to view only settled transactions (where the merchant account has received the funds), unsettled transactions, or both.

Note: BBMS settles transactions daily, but it doesn't make a settlement date available to Luminate Online. A disbursement date is available however, so when BBMS includes a transaction on a disbursement report for their disbursement cycle, Luminate Online reflects this by changing the transactions status in the Luminate Online report from unsettled to settled. For BBMS credit card transactions, settled means disbursed, so it could be necessary to include both settled and unsettled transactions when running the Settlement Summary Report.
