Enabling Your Constituents to Submit Stories

You can insert a User Story link in the WYSIWYG editor in a PageBuilder page or Email message to enable your constituents to submit their own personal stories that are associated with a defined interest. When you insert the User Story link, you must associate it with an interest, which typically corresponds to the intent of the stories. You must create a new interest if a suitable one does not exist (using the Constituent360 Interests application).

When a constituent clicks your User Story link, the system walks them through a series of steps to enter the title, optional short description, and the content as well as optionally insert a photo (in jpg format), and then preview the story. The constituent can go back and edit their story several times before submitting it to you. After you receive the story, you can review it and then publish the story so it is accessible from your site.

The system will automatically send the Story Published email autoresponder to a story author about the publication date and location of the story. If you have the appropriate security permissions, you can edit the content of this autoresponder from the Application Autoresponders tab in the Autoresponder Center (which is available from Site Setup on the navigation bar).
