Perform Hot Edits on the Active Version
When you hot edit a Page Version, you are working directly on the active Version. Anyone viewing the Page will see your changes as soon as you Save each component. You will not be able to revert to the original content unless you cancel your work before you save it.
You may want to perform a hot edit in limited circumstances, for example, to:
-
Make a minor change on a publicly-viewable Page, such as a misspelling, change of venue, or broken link
-
Change a Page in development that you have published for viewing by internal staff (but have not yet linked for public viewing)
-
Change the Page Title that display on the Web browser
-
Add a search keyword or a META data tag
Note: You cannot make hot edits on a Page for which you do not have publishing permission or if Accessibility enforcement has been activated for your site.
