If Luminate CRMis integrated with your Luminate Onlinesite and you want to record data in Luminate CRM for certain applications, you can record data in either system and keep it synchronized between the two system using cross references.
Most of the cross references are based on matching the application object (such as a Donation Campaign, donation form, ticketed or RSVP event, or TeamRaiser event) with a Luminate CRM Campaign. For TeamRaiser events and a Personal Fundraising Campaign, additional relationships and roles must also be cross referenced to matching Luminate CRM objects.
Instead of gathering the money collected into your general unrestricted fund, you can target funds and portions of funds from these applications toward a specific group, person, or purpose by defining a Luminate CRM designation and creating the cross references to the designations.
Cross references are configured in each application as part of a specific object (like a donation campaign, donation form, ticketed or RSVP event, Personal Fundraising Campaign, or TeamRaiser event). Most are required, but some are not. For example, you do not have to have a cross reference for a donation form if you have a cross reference to the donation campaign because transactions will follow the cross reference to the campaign without causing an integration error. Or, when a Luminate CRM event is mirrored to create a Luminate Online event, the cross reference is created automatically by the mirroring process.
You can create and manage cross references to:
In most cases, the required cross reference types (such as Campaigns) are configured as part of your setup and a Configure Cross References page is displayed in the appropriate place in the configuration steps for the applications listed above. If they are not set up, you can use the Application Cross Reference Assignment tool available from Data Management > Luminate Configuration > Cross References > Application Cross Reference Assignments. Refer to Configuring Required Cross Reference Types for Applications.
