Product Categories and Types

To make it easier for shoppers and administrators to locate specific products, you can arrange your Product List to display in a product category hierarchy that contains the typical + and - symbols for browsing through subcategories. Some products may display in more than one category. For example, you can list a new Logo T-Shirt in both Apparel and Logo categories.

You can also define product types that the system can use as filters when shoppers and administrators perform a Search or an alphabetical sort on the Product Type column in product lists or catalog pages. For example, you can have virtual products, electronic products, and clothing products as three distinct product types.
