Configuring Product Category Pages
If you are using product categories to organize your products, you can create custom pages for your product categories within each store. It is not necessary (or even desirable) to create a page for every product category. Custom product category pages are most suitable for the high-level categories in a multi-level product category hierarchy. For example, if you have a product category called Commemorative items where you display coffee cups, t-shirts, and calendars, you can create a custom page for the Commemorative product category where you describe the accessories. Then when shoppers click the Commemorative product category while browsing the store, the links to each of the subcategories display in the category navbar as well as the descriptions of the subcategories. your description of the subcategories.
If your site is enabled for custom layouts and styles, you can select the layout and style sheet to apply when configuring a category page.
