What features are available in Participant Center 3 (PC3)?
Participant Center 3 offers the following enhancements:
Supporters can edit their personal profile in a Profile View that is connected to their Constituent record. Participants can also change team membership and privacy preferences directly in the Participant Center.
Content updates now auto-save
Labels display text for the language set in sites that are multi-locale enabled, including these languages: English US, English UK, English Australia, English Canada, Canadian French, US Spanish
Uses up-to-date JavaScript libraries, including BootStrap and Angular JS. Documentation covers API details to allow for customizations.
Does Participant Center 3 allow supporters to access contacts on their phone?
No, the mobile-friendly website cannot access tools on a person’s mobile phone. To access phone contacts requires an installed Mobile App, such as the one provided by Services

What happens when I create a new Participant Center to use with a new TeamRaiser event?
When you create a new Participant Center, you automatically get Participant Center 3.
What happens if I create a new Participant Center to use with an existing, TeamRaiser that will be copied for next year?
Newly-created and upgraded Participant Centers use Participant Center 3.
Upgrade a Participant Center
What happens if I upgrade an existing Participant Center that has no customizations to Participant Center 3?
You get the new Participant Center 3 functionality for all TeamRaisers that use the existing Participant Center.
What happens if I upgrade to Participant Center 3, but I already launched the event and have people registered for the event?
All participants in a given TeamRaiser use the same Participant Center instance, regardless of when they registered for the TeamRaiser event. So, if a participant registers for a TeamRaiser event, and then the Participant Center linked to that event is upgraded, the existing participant gets access to the upgraded Participant Center 3 the same way that later participants in the TeamRaiser event get access to the upgraded Participant Center 3.
What happens if I upgrade an existing Participant Center with customizations that are on the standard list?
You get the new Participant Center 3 functionality for all TeamRaisers that use the existing Participant Center.
Use administrator functionality to edit the custom.js and custom.css files for the new PC3 to enable customizations from the standard list. This may require some knowledge of JavaScript and CSS.
What happens if I upgrade an existing Participant Center with customizations that are not on the standard list?
You get the new Participant Center 3 functionality for all TeamRaisers that use the existing Participant Center. Work with Services, either as a new project or as part of a retainer, to implement customizations within Participant Center 3.
What happens if I upgrade a current or recent standard Blackbaud Services Participant Center implementation?
You get the new Participant Center 3 functionality for all TeamRaisers that use the existing Participant Center.
What happens if I upgrade a prior version of a Blackbaud Services "mobile responsive" Participant Center?
You must remove the code from the Page Wrapper that is used with the prior version of the "mobile responsive" Participant Center and adjust the code in the PageBuilder page that is used with the prior version to replace that code with the S409 S-tag used by the standard Participant Center to get the new Participant Center 3 functionality for all TeamRaisers that use the Participant Center.
What happens if I upgrade a Charity Dynamics "mobile responsive" Participant Center?
You get the new Participant Center 3 functionality for all TeamRaisers that use the existing Participant Center and the Charity Dynamics version is removed.
What happens if I upgrade a Cathexis "mobile responsive” Participant Center?
You get the new Participant Center 3 functionality for all TeamRaisers that use the existing Participant Center and the Cathexis version is removed.
You may need to update existing TeamRaisers to use the new Responsive Layouts with Inline Page Editing. This is not included automatically by upgrading the existing Participant Center.
What happens if I upgrade a Firefly Partners "mobile responsive” Participant Center?
You get the new Participant Center 3 functionality for all TeamRaisers that use the existing Participant Center and the Firefly Partners version is removed.
What happens if I upgrade the Blackbaud Services version of Facebook Fundraiser integration?
The new Participant Center 3 functionality includes Facebook Integration code which replaces the Blackbaud Services version of Facebook Fundraiser integration.
Note: A fixed-size image in a page wrapper can impact the ability of the site to respond to different mobile devices.
