Local Companies

After the Local Companies site option is enabled, you can add details about the company and track related information, like company gifts made to the event. Local Companies can then be associated with different teams participating in a single TeamRaiser event, and they can sponsor a team via registration subsidies, for example, or they can simply offer camaraderie for competitive spirit to raise money.

Note: This differs from Cross-Event Companies that encourage employees to join teams that they sponsor in several different types of events.

Facilities and Departments no longer exist in Luminate Online, and they've been replaced by Local Companies. Now, you'll create a new Local Company and assign a parent Local Company instead, and you can have an unlimited amount of Local Companies in your hierarchy.

Sponsors

If a company will not have any teams associated with it, you can add the company as a sponsor from the Local Companies tab. If the company will have teams and provide sponsorship money, you should set them up with Add a New Company and then use the Define Sponsorship Details action from the Local Companies list.

Additionally, you can add a company as a prospect, which means the company has not committed to being a sponsor or being available for team selections. When you add a prospect, you can track the initial Ask request and then confirm them as a sponsor when money is received.

Executive Champions

You can also identify the Executive Champion of the company who will be the primary contact for information and questions about general company involvement in the TeamRaiser event.

Note: The Executive Champion role differs from the Company Coordinator role. The Company Coordinator works directly with the company teams while the Executive Champion simply serves as a point of contact.
