Returning Teams

If the TeamRaiser F2F_RETURNING_TEAMS_ENABLED Site Option is set to TRUE or the Returning Teams Allowed advanced event option within a specific event is enabled, captains and members from teams who participated in the previous event to which the current one is linked may be able to bring back and rejoin their team.

When the Returning Teams Allowed advanced event option is enabled (TeamRaiser > Edit > Select Event Options > Edit Advanced Options > Define Event Options), three additional event options can be set to determine:

If the Team Captain does not have to be captain again, each person who registers is asked if they would like to be the Team Captain until one accepts. If no one accepts the role, then the team will be considered "captainless", which means that an event manager or coordinator must step in to be sure that the people who have joined the team are getting the appropriate communications, instructions, and so on.

To help facilitate communication to captains and members of teams from the previous event, event administrators and managers can create and send email that selects Previous Event Participants as the Email Audience. And then, a filter can be set to email all members of teams from the previous event who have not yet been formed for this event or only captains of teams from the previous event who have not yet formed their team again in this event.
