Identify the Donation Form
Name your form, then decide whether the form will:
Collect money for a single designee (To let donors select their designee, see Managing Designated Giving)
Accept online and offline donations
Display as a standard web page or respond to a mobile phone or tablet
Use source codes to track donor interactions
Identify details of your donation form:
Enter a Name to identify the form purpose to administrators.
(Optional) Enter a Public Name to identify the form purpose in the title bar of the web browser displaying the form.
(Optional) Enter a Description to explain the form to administrators.
Choose a Security Category to determine which administrators can manage the donation form and who can view and make a gift on this form. The initial setting is the same setting for its associated Donation Campaign.
(Optional) Form Designee - Select the entity to receive funds collected through this form.
Note: A designee is useful in a fundraising campaign that is run on behalf of one person or organization. However, unless the donation form displays an explanation of this, donors only see this information on their Transaction Summary page. To provide multiple designee options, use a Designated Giving form instead.
(Optional) Interaction Modes - Choose who can enter gifts on this form (that is, only donors online, your staff when they receive payments directly, or both).
Note: If your staff can enter the gifts, you should add the Send Donation Notification to an Offline Donor data element to this form
Form Layout - Choose either:
Standard to display this form in the traditional web page design layout for a personal computer.
Responsive to resize the page in response to the layout of the device on which it is rendered (personal computer, tablet, or smart phone).
(Optional) Default Source Code - Enter a string of up to 255 letters and numbers to record how donors accessed this donation form on your site in their constituent profiles. See About Source and SubSource Code.
(Optional) Default SubSource Code - Enter an additional string of up to 255 letters and numbers to record how donors accessed this donation form on your site in their constituent profiles. See About Source and SubSource Code.
(Optional) Validate API Donation Requests - In the event of fraudulent attempts on a donation form via API calls, use this option to enforce validation on certain API requests to this donation form.
Warning: This feature is not compatible with API integrations, such as Facebook Fundraising integration. If you aren't sure whether your donation form is used for integration, contact Blackbaud Support to help you determine whether you should enable this feature.
Validation occurs on required fields and limits (such as minimum donation) to enhance fraud protection over API donation forms and eliminate dummy data from API fraud attempts.
