MobilePay Terminal is an EMV-certified solution that uses end-to-end data encryption technology to ensure safe, secure, and flexible payment options.

The MobilePay Terminal app encrypts cardholder data the moment it's presented to the card reader using Triple Data Encryption Standard (TDES). Plain-text data is discarded and the encrypted payload is securely sent to Blackbaud for payment processing. The resulting metadata passed to the app is the masked Primary Account Number (PAN) and the required, non-sensitive receipt information. No secure data is stored, and all encrypted and unencrypted data is deleted immediately after authorization.

The Blackbaud Payment Service, which securely stores and tokenizes sensitive payment information, is fully compliant with Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards.
