Register for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) with CanadaHelps

For Canadian charities, donations and grants are processed by CanadaHelps. Register for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) at no cost to receive payments weekly. Paper cheques are sent once a year in April.

  1. Register for a CanadaHelps account

    Note: Already have an account? Sign in instead.

  2. Submit your banking information

    • In your CanadaHelps account, follow the steps in Register or Update Your Charity’s Banking Details.

    • Connect to your financial institution through the third-party service used by CanadaHelps.

    • Download and complete the Preauthorized Debit and Credit (PAD) form in your account.

    • Submit the completed form and voided cheque online. If you can't submit them online, email them to info@canadahelps.org.

  3. Complete verification and activation

    • CanadaHelps verifies your banking information through the third-party service and PAD form. They also confirm your charity is in good standing with the CRA.

    • After verification, EFT is activated and funds are transferred directly to your bank account.

    • No additional steps are needed in your Blackbaud Verified Network account.
