What's New - NPOconnect Release 1.63.0
Note: This release is scheduled for March 24, 2023 at 8 PM ET.
The latest release of NPOconnect features US Privacy Law and Data Privacy updates as well as Vetting Request email language updates.
US Privacy Law and Data Privacy Updates
System updated to only maintain five years of historical Payments and Transactions data for nonprofits
As part of our updates to Data Retention and Data Privacy, we will now manage and maintain a rolling five years of Payments and Transactions data for nonprofits. This is an automatic process that runs weekly during non-business hours. Moving forward, any transactions and payments that were created more than five years before the date the process runs will be deleted from the system.
Donations imported from CSRconnect now display the contact information specified by the donor, including the option to show as “Anonymous”
This release includes privacy updates as it pertains to donor information imported from CSRconnect. Donors in CSRconnect can choose how their contact information is displayed to the charities that receive their donations, such as:
-
Showing their Name and Email only
-
Showing as Anonymous (no contact information will be displayed to the charity)
Note: This information will now be reflected in NPOconnect when viewing charity donations. This update applies to donations only. It does not apply to Match Requests or volunteer hours.

The language included in the email sent to our processing partners - GiveIndia, Charities Trust, CanadaHelps, and Haus des Stiftens - when a Vetting Request is submitted has been updated to better differentiate between current Nonprofit Administrators and new users. This email now prompts the recipient to register as a Nonprofit Administrator in NPOconnect only if they have not yet registered.
