Email Marketing - Get Started Tab

The first step in designing your email is to select a layout. The Get Started tab allows you to create a new layout or copy one from an existing message. The Best Practice templates include content and guidelines to maximize the effectiveness of your campaign.

These layouts serve as a starting point, so you can use them as they are or optionally add, remove, or rearrange columns to customize your email’s design.

Design your email

  1. From the Email Marketing Dashboard, click Create new email.The Get Started tab displays.

  2. Select a layout from one of the following sections:

    Tip: Hover over the layout icons for more information.

    • Select a layout from the Start with a new layout section to create a new one.

    • Select a layout from the Start from an existing message to copy a layout from an existing message. Existing messages include emails that have been sent as well as any drafts that are in progress.

    • Select a layout from the Featured best practice messages. Best practice message templates contain placeholder content and guidelines for creating more effective messaging. There is a template for a newsletter, an event announcement, gift appeals, and general communication.

  3. Click Save & Continue to design and send your message.
