Membership Forms - Get Started Tab

On the Get Started tab, select the memberships to include on the form, associate them with a fund, and configure the payment options.

Configure options on the Get Started Tab

  1. Enter a name in the Name your event form field. The name is just for internal use only and will not display online.

  2. Under Select the payment methods to include, select whether to include Credit card, Direct debit, and Bill me later options on the form.

    If you select Credit card:

    • Select the payment configuration to use under Blackbaud merchant account. A payment configuration includes the gateway information, access credentials, fraud protection options, and supported card types to use when the form processes credit card payments.

      Note: If your account only uses one configuration, it's selected by default.

    • Select whether to use Blackbaud Checkout or the standard checkout to collect credit card information. For more information, see Credit Card Payments.

    Note: To allow direct debits, organizations using non-US bank accounts and for all customers using The Raiser’s Edge version 7.93, Patch 10 or lower, the Electronic Funds Transfer module for The Raiser's Edge is required.

    Note: When constituents select the Bill me later option, their membership dues download to the transaction manager as pledges.

  3. Click Add a membership to select membership categories to include on the form. The Select a membership category window displays.

  4. Click Select.

  5. After you select a category, you can optionally edit its title, subtitle, dues, description, and the number of members allowed. In the subtitle, you may want to specify how many memberships are included and for what length of time, such as two memberships for one year. In the description, you can specify what the membership entails, such as its benefits or key selling points.

  6. Click Search to specify a fund from The Raiser's Edge for each membership type. Each level can be tied to a different fund.

  7. Drag and drop the membership levels to reorder them if necessary.

  8. Click Save & Continue to open the Extras tab.
