AI Acknowledgements Security

You can configure permissions to specify which users can set up and manage AI acknowledgements.

Tip: To use AI acknowledgements, your organization admin must first enable generative AI features in your Blackbaud environment. For instructions, see the Opt In to Generative AI Features Globally help.

Create AI Acknowledgement Roles

  1. From Security, select Role management.

  2. Under Artificial Intelligence roles, select New.

  3. Enter a role name and description.

  4. Under Generative AI acknowledgement tasks, select Generative AI acknowledgements to allow admins to send, add, edit, view, and configure AI acknowledgements.

  5. Select Save.

  6. Under Communications roles, select New

  7. Enter a role name and description.

  8. Under Email tasks, select Manage transactional emails to allow admins to add, edit, and view the AI acknowledgements emails to donors.

  9. Select Save.

  10. Under Fundraising roles, select New.

  11. Enter a role name and description.

  12. Under List tasks, select Access all lists to allow admins to view actions, constituents, and gifts, which is required for managing lists of acknowledgements.

  13. Select Save.

  14. Under Constituent roles, select New.

  15. Enter a role name and description.

  16. Under Constituent tasks, select Manage constituents, to allow admins to add and edit constituents, which is required for viewing the Send AI Acknowledgements button on the gift record under Acknowledgements and receipts, and for viewing the Acknowledgements to review link on the AI Acknowledgements page.

  17. Select Save.

Assign AI Acknowledgement Roles

After you create the Artificial Intelligence, Communications, Fundraising, and Constituent roles, you must assign them all to users to allow them to use AI Acknowledgements.

  1. From Security, select User management.

  2. Select the user you want to assign the roles to.

  3. Tip: If the user doesn't exist, select Add user to create one.

  4. Select Manage roles.

  5. From Raiser's Edge NXT, select the roles you want to assign. You must assign all four roles: the Artificial Intelligence, Communications, Fundraising, and Constituent roles.

  6. After assigning the roles, select Send invite.
