AI Acknowledgement Tone Types

Note: Don't see this? If all goes well based on feedback and usage, expect its wider release a future update.

The AI acknowledgement's tone dictates the message content's sentence structure, salutation and closing structure, word choices, and formatting. Select a tone that best reflects your organization's brand.

Because every AI acknowledgement message is unique, some elements may vary. For example, some messages with an informal tone may use colloquialisms while others don't.

  • Formal – typically uses no slang, colloquialisms, or contractions. The language and structure are precise and business-like, similar to a message from an employer or other business professional.

  • Informal – conversational, may include slang, colloquialisms, and contractions, similar to how you would talk with a friend or close acquaintance. The structure may be more formal, but the overall approach is less exacting.

  • Fun – light-hearted, amusing, and witty. The tone uses wordplay, jokes, or clever remarks to amuse the reader.

Additional AI instructions

Although tone types are defined, you can give the AI specific instructions under AI Profiles, Additional detail to include to further affect the message content. For example, if a profile uses a formal tone, you can lighten the message's approach by asking AI to include a joke, or if a profile uses an informal tone, you can tell the AI to include emojis.

Be specific and give clear instructions. For example:

  • "Include lots of emojis"

  • "Write from Elliot"

Specify what you don't want by saying "don't include." For example:

  • "Don't include any contractions"

  • "Don't include any puns"

Break long, complex requests into a series of smaller sentences.
