Add or Edit an Appeal Record

Add an appeal to organize gifts and reporting around a specific solicitation — such as a direct mail drop, email campaign, or event invitation — so you can track performance, analyze results, and understand which outreach efforts are driving giving.

You can add appeals directly from the appeal list in Raiser’s Edge NXT and begin using them immediately across gift entry, reporting, and analysis.

  1. From Gifts, select Appeals.

  2. Select New appeal.

  3. Enter a unique Appeal ID (Up to 20 characters).

    Tip: Use a consistent naming convention, such as a year or campaign code.

  4. Enter a unique Description (Up to 100 characters). This name appears throughout the system.

  5. Enter a Start date and/or End date. The start date must be before the end date (Optional).

  6. Select a Category to group similar appeals for filtering and reporting (Optional).

    Tip: You can set up and manage the categories available for your appeals from the Appeal Category table in Settings, Tables.

  7. Enter a Goal amount (Optional) .

  8. Enter a Default gift amount (Optional). Applies to packages linked to the appeal.

  9. Select Save.
