Attachment Rights
To create a complete picture of constituents, events, and
Tip: Admins! In the database view, admins can also give rights to access, add, edit, or delete attachments for constituent, gift, and action records.

From Control Panel, select Security and Roles.

Under Fundraising roles, select Edit role from the role's menu .

Under Attachment rights, select Edit rights.

Choose how the role uses attachments on campaign, fund, or appeal records.

To give the role complete access to attachments for campaigns, funds, and appeals, select Manage all attachments.

To give the role complete access to attachments for campaigns, funds, or appeals, select Manage campaign attachments, Manage fund attachments, or Manage appeal attachments.

To give the role limited access to attachments, select Show permissions and choose whether it can view, add, edit, or delete attachments for each record type.

Select Save.
In the database view, admins can manage a security group's access to attachments for constituent, gift, and action records in the web view.

In Administration, select Security and open the group.

Under Group Privileges, select Records and Options.

Under Record Types:

Select the type of record — Constituents, Events, Gifts, or Actions (Constituent) — to set rights for.

To enable the group to access the records, select View and choose whether its members can also add, edit, or delete those records.

For constituent records, select additional permissions for Notes and Media under Constituents Privileges.

For gift records, select additional permissions for Media under Constituents Privileges.

Select OK and Save and Close.
Tip: Be patient. It may take up to five minutes for security changes in Control Panel or the database view to take effect.
