Credit Card Updater Response Codes
When you run Credit Card Updater, it may automatically exclude some credit cards due to invalid information. If Credit Card Updater encounters this, it returns a response code to explain why it can't update the credit card information. You can view these response codes in the Credit Card Updater Report or Credit Card Updater custom field.

The first six digits of a credit card number provide the issuer identification number (IIN), which indicates the type of credit card, such as Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. This code indicates that the credit card information couldn't update because its IIN doesn't match its card type. To update the card number, we recommend you contact the cardholder to verify the credit card information.

The final digit of a credit card number is a check digit, which validates the authenticity of the card number through the Luhn algorithm. This code indicates that the credit card information couldn't update because the card number failed a check digit validation. To update the card number, we recommend you contact the cardholder to verify the credit card information.

Credit card numbers have a standard number of digits, based on its card type. This code indicates that the credit card information couldn't update because the card number has the incorrect number of digits. To update the card number, we recommend you contact the cardholder to verify the credit card information.

Credit card numbers contain only numeric characters. This code indicates that the credit card information couldn't update because the card number contains alphabetic or special characters. To update the card number, we recommend you contact the cardholder to verify the credit card information.
