Funds Analysis Filters
Funds represent the donor's intent for how you should use or earmark a gift, such as toward a specific cause or financial purpose. When you analyze the performance of your organization's fundraising efforts in
Tip: These filters are cumulative, so imagine an "and" between each. For example, if you specify both appeal descriptions and a gift date range, you can analyze and compare campaigns that solicit gifts through specific appeals during the same time period.
Campaigns are your overall fundraising efforts or initiatives, such as an annual campaign toward operating expenses or a capital campaign toward a new building or an endowment. To analyze funds based on the initiatives their gifts apply toward, choose which campaigns to include in the Campaign description filter.
Tip: To find a specific campaign, search the Campaign description filter for its description.
To analyze only specific funds, choose them in the Fund description filter.
Tip: To find a specific fund, search the Fund description filter for its description.
Appeals are the solicitations used to bring in gifts, such as direct mailings, online donation pages, phonathons, auctions, or events. To analyze funds based on the solicitations used to acquire their gifts, choose which appeals to include in the Appeal description filter.
Tip: To find a specific appeal, search the Appeal description filter for its description.
To analyze funds based on giving received during a specific time frame, choose the date range of the gifts to include in the Gift date filter.
With the Revenue type filter, you can choose whether to analyze cash-in-hand giving or the overall commitment toward the funds.

Received — To analyze cash-in-hand giving, select this option.

Committed — To analyze the overall commitment, select this option.
Note: Admins! In Control Panel, Settings, you can choose which gift types your organization considers as received or committed revenue. For more information, see Revenue and Recognition.
To group like campaigns together, you can assign them a category. To analyze funds that apply gifts toward campaigns of specific categories, choose which initiatives to include in the Campaign category filter.

To group like appeals together, you can assign them a category. To analyze funds that acquire gifts through appeals of specific categories, choose which solicitations to include in the Appeal category filter.
By default, the metrics under Funds include only active funds. Under Active, choose whether to include inactive funds.

To include active funds, select true.

To include inactive funds, select false.
Note: Each filter includes up to 500 options. If you select Select all, you include all options, not just the first 500. You can also search for and select an option not in the first 500.
