Fund Summary
Funds represent the donor's intent for how you should use or earmark a gift, such as toward a specific cause or financial purpose. To quickly analyze the effectiveness of a fund, view the pertinent statistics about its giving over the past five years under Fund summary on its record. To open a fund's record, select its name from a gift record or list.
Tip: With the Revenue type filter, you can choose whether to include revenue received through cash-in-hand giving or committed through pledges and matching gifts. For more information, see Revenue and Recognition.
Under Fund summary, you can quickly track the money raised toward the cause.
-
Revenue — How much the fund raised.
-
Gifts — How many gifts the fund raised.
Tip: To view a list of gifts toward the fund, select either total. For further analysis, select Create list to open the list in Lists, where you can apply additional filters, choose columns, and save for future reuse. For more information, see Lists.
To help identify the typical gift amount applied toward the fund, Average gift divides the revenue amount by the number of gifts.
To help determine whether the fund attracts mostly larger or smaller gifts, Median gift provides the middle gift amount. Half of the gifts received are above this amount, and half are below.
