Set Values for an Entire Column in Batch

In grid view batch, you can use Update column value to apply a value to multiple rows in a column at once, instead of updating each row individually.

1. From Gifts, Overview, select Add, New grid batch, or on an existing unapproved batch's record, select Edit, Edit in grid view.

2. Above the grid batch, select Update column value.

3. Select the field to update. Only fields currently added as columns on the grid are available to select.

   Note: You can't use the Update column value to update split fields.

4. Enter or select a value to apply to the field.

5. Select Overwrite existing values to replace all values already in the field . If you leave this unselected, the value applies only to rows where the field is currently blank.

6. Select Apply.
