Export Gift Posting Reports
To review or store posting information from posted or unposted general ledger posting batches, export your gift posting reports. You can export Excel/CSV or PDF copies whenever you need them, even if you didn't generate reports during the posting process.
Export posting reports

From Gifts, Post gifts, select a posted or unposted general ledger posting batch.

Select Export all.

Select Excel/CSV or PDF.

Open or save the exported file.
What's included in the post to general ledger exported file

Account number: Debit/credit account numbers as specified on the fund. If no account number is specified on the fund, then <Not Specified> is used.

Date: Post date from the gift.

Transaction Type: "R" for regular

Debit/Credit: "D" for debit or "C" for credit

Amount: Amount of the gift. If no decimals are present, the decimals are truncated. For example, $450.00 will be presented as 450 in the file. However, $1234.56 will be presented as 1234.56 in the file.

Reference: Either the general ledger reference defined in Configuration or the Default Reference (Last Name/Org Name —– Gift Type) based on the selection on the Post to General Ledger screen. If the gift is a deleted posted gift, the reference will be Last Name/Org Name — Gift Type — DEL.

Blank field: Blank
Note: Fields only available via Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT/Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT integration (such as Account Description and Project) will not be in the post to general ledger exported file.
Export in Excel/CSV
Excel/CSV exports open in Excel so you can sort, modify, and analyze posting information.
Export in PDF
Exporting in PDF generates a noneditable report for secure distribution or documentation.
The PDF uses the same layout as the database view report. Database view runs the export as two reports. Web view combines the reports into a single PDF that includes the General Ledger report and the Exception report.
When you can export posting reports
You can export posting reports before posting, after posting, or whenever you need posting information. You can always access these reports, even when you don’t generate them during the posting process.
