Filter by Another Query's Results

Note: Don't see this yet? No need to worry. Expect its wider release in a future update.

Use the In query results of and Not in query results of operators, also known as nested query filters or query membership filters, to filter records based on whether they appear in the results of another saved query. Select a saved query of a matching record type as the value, and Query checks whether each record is a member of that query's results.

These operators are available for the following fields:

  • Constituent, Specific record

  • Appeal, Description

  • Appeal, Appeal ID

  • Fund, Description

  • Fund, Fund ID

  • Campaign, Description

  • Campaign, Campaign ID

For Constituent, Specific record, the saved query you select must match the constituent type:

  • A Constituent field accepts Constituent, Individual, or Organization queries.

  • An Individual field accepts Constituent or Individual queries.

  • An Organization field accepts Constituent or Organization queries.

You can use these operators wherever the field appears, which includes within a Gift node's output filter and at the top level of a query.

Since they're only available in web view, these operators are identified by a cloud icon.
