Soft Credit/Matching Gift Flag

Add the Soft Credit/Matching Gift Flag field to a Gift query to see how each gift row relates to soft credits and matching gifts. This field works together with the soft credit and matching gift processing options you select for the query.

Depending on the processing options selected, a single gift can return multiple rows. For example, a gift can return one row for the donating constituent and another for a matching gift company. The Soft Credit/Matching Gift Flag field identifies what each returned row represents.

Soft Credit/Matching Gift Flag Field Values

Value	Description
Regular Gift	This is a normal donor gift row. There aren't any soft credit or matching gift flags set.
Company MG-Pledge	The matching gift company's row for a matching gift pledge
Constituent MG-Pledge	The donating constituent's row for a matching gift pledge
Company MG-Payment	The matching gift company's row for a matching gift payment
Constituent MG-Payment	The donating constituent's row for a matching gift payment
Soft Credit Recipient	The constituent was soft credited on someone else's gift.
Soft Credit Recipient Company for MG Pledge	The soft credit recipient is also the matching gift company on a pledge.
Soft Credit Recipient Constituent for MG Pledge	The soft credit recipient is also the donating constituent on a matching gift pledge.
Soft Credit Recipient Company for MG Payment	The soft credit recipient is also the matching gift company on a matching gift payment.
Soft Credit Recipient Constituent for MG Payment	The soft credit recipient is also the donating constituent on a matching gift payment.
