From Gift Types, select the gift types to include in your report. The gift type is the type of gift your organization receives, such as one-time gift, pledge, or gift-in-kind. For more information, see Gift Types.

Some report types include Report column for you to select the gift types to include in each column of the report. Select the column in which you want this information to appear. Then, select Gift Types and choose the gift information you want to appear in each column.

Note: The gift types and options available vary based on the report you run.

Tip: To return to the report's default selections for gift types, select Restore defaults.

You can select the following options to further customize your report:

  • Exclude zero amount gifts — Exclude gifts entered or adjusted to zero.

  • Use sale date for sold stock/property — Use the date the stock was sold as the gift date. If the sale date does not fall within the date range you enter on the General tab, the gift is excluded from your report.

  • Use sale amount for sold stock/property — Include stock and property gifts based on the worth of the stock and property at the time of the sale instead of at the time your organization acquired the gifts. This also enables Subtract broker fee from sold stock/property.

  • Subtract broker fee from sold stock/property — Calculate the gift amount of sold stock and property gifts minus broker fees. This is only enabled when you select Use sale amount for sold stock/property.

  • Use gift balance instead of gift amount — To see the balance remaining for gifts, include the recurring gift type and select Use gift balance instead of gift amount.

  • Calculate gift balance based on date range, campaign, fund, and appeal — Base the balance of a pledge on the date range you enter on the General tab and criteria you select on the Filters tab.
