Donor Cover Fund

When your constituents cover transaction fees on a donation, membership and event registration forms, you can assign a separate fund for those fees. This creates a split gift. If you don't set a separate fund, the fund assigned to the gift, membership, or registration is used.

Set a Donor Cover Fund for All Forms

  1. From Settings, select Tools.

  2. From Form settings, select Update for the designation under Donor cover.

  3. Select a fund for the amount supporters give to cover transaction fees.

    Tip: Clear the designation to remove it.

  4. Select Save.

Set the Donor Cover Label

To set a custom label for the donor cover checkbox for Standard Donation Forms and membership forms:

  1. From Settings, under Tools, select Update for the label under Donor cover.

  2. Under Label options, select an option:

    • Use default label to use the default donor cover checkbox label on Standard Donation Forms and membership forms.

    • Set custom label lets you enter your own checkbox label text.

      Warning: The label must include [amount] to display the calculated fee based on the gift amount.

  3. Select Save.

Remove Donor Cover Fund

To stop assigning a donor cover fund for transaction fees for all forms:

  1. From Settings, select Tools.

  2. From Form settings, select Update for the designation under Donor cover.

  3. Clear the fund.

  4. Select Save.
