Skip Automatic Recurring Gift Payments

At the request of a donor you can skip upcoming recurring gift payments, track skipped payments, and view the next scheduled payment under Recurring gift summary. To skip recurring gift payments, they must:

  • Automatically process.

  • Have a status of Active.

  • Have an end date in the future or no end date.

  • Have upcoming payments due on or before their end date.

As soon as you add skipped payments, Fail payments (Skipped) will display under Recurring gift history.

Warning: Once you skip payments, you cannot change or remove them.

  1. On the recurring gift record, under Recurring gift summary, select Skip next payments.

  2. Choose how to skip payments.

    • To skip payments until a specific date, select Skip payments until and select the date the donor would like to resume payments

    • To skip a specific number of payments, select Skip this many payments and enter the number of payments the donor would like to skip.

      Note: You can only skip future payments. Payments due today will continue to process.

  3. Select Save.

  4. Select Skip payments.
