Test Constituent Forms and Accept Submissions
After you configure and save a constituent form, you should test it to make sure it's easy to use before changing it to accept submissions.
1. Check Form's Mode Status
Constituent forms are in test mode by default, so you can test the submission process before making the form live and publishing it. To make sure your form is in test mode:
-
From Online Giving, select Constituent forms.
-
Select a form to edit.
-
Select Edit form.
-
Under Form mode, Test mode should be selected.
Note: If the form mode is Live mode, you cannot change it to Test mode.
-
Continue configuring the form and save it.
2. Test Form in Test Mode
While the constituent form is in test mode, constituent records aren't updated or created.
-
From Online Giving, select Constituent forms.
-
Select a form to test.
-
Under Publish, copy the form's URL from Launch form from its URL.
-
Paste the URL in your browser.
-
Fill out the form and submit it.
3. Accept Form Submissions
After you test the form and are ready to publish it, you will change the form to live mode.
Warning: After the form is set to live mode, you can't change it to test mode.
-
From Online Giving, select Constituent forms.
-
Select a form to publish.
-
Select Edit form.
-
Under Form mode, select Live mode.
-
Save the form.
