Intelligent Ask for Donation Forms

Intelligent Ask increases the average one-time gift amount to help you raise more for your organization by presenting personalized one-time gift amounts to unknown donors. For example, if the first amount on a donation form's ask ladder is $50, it may adjust to $60 for a donor.

Note: Giving history isn't available because donors are unknown when they access the form.

How Intelligent Ask Works

Blackbaud's data model adjusts the gift amounts and displays the amounts a donor is most likely to give. The data Blackbaud uses is what is detected at the time an unknown donor accesses the donation form. It's a combination of data, such as the device and browser accessing the form to determine those amounts per donor.

  • For Optimized Donation Forms, a personalized one-time gift suggestion automatically appears when the donor selects a one-time gift. By default, it is always on.

  • For Standard Donation Forms, a personalized one-time gift suggestion appears when the donor selects a one-time gift if Intelligent is enabled. By default, Intelligent Ask is turned on when you create the form, but you can turn it off.

Enable Intelligent Ask

To enable or turn off Intelligent Ask on a Standard Donation Form:

  1. From Online Giving, select Donation forms.

  2. Create a new Standard Donation Form or select form you want to edit.

  3. Under Get started, select Intelligent Ask under Fundraising opportunities.

Note: When you clear the checkbox, Intelligent Ask is turned off for that form.

  4. Continue configuring the form or save it.
