Test an Optimized Donation Form

After configuring and saving a form, test it to make sure it's easy for donors to use. By default, Optimized Forms are in test mode.

To test an Optimized Donation Form:

  1. From Online Giving, Overview, select All donation forms, under Related Links.

  2. Select the form.

  3. Under Publish, select how you want to test the form — from its URL, QR code, or from a hyperlink on a webpage.

  4. Review the form in a browser and use a test credit card number to submit a payment.

  5. Make adjustments to the form as necessary and save the form.

Tip: To create one-time gift test records, edit the form and select Create test donation records under Payments and fees, Transaction processing. Test donations don't have a receipt or display in giving statements.

Note: To start taking donations, select Start processing donations now under Payment and fees. After you make this selection, you can't switch the form back to test mode.
