Display Donation Forms in French (Canada)

Donation forms can display in French (Canada) and English based on the donor's browser language setting. To control the language that displays on donation forms, you can either bypass the browser's language setting by adding the locale to the end of the form's hosted URL or web page where the form is embedded.

Add locale to the URL

To bypass the browser's language setting and force the form to display in French (Canada), add &locale=fr-CA to the end of the form's hosted URL or the URL of the web page where the form is embedded. For example:

Optimized Donation Forms automatically translate all fields to French (Canada). Standard Donation Forms do not translate all fields. For this reason you may prefer to create Standard Donation Forms that are dedicated to French (Canada).

Edit text on Standard Donation Forms

To edit existing text on a Standard Donation Form, from Online Giving, Overview, create or edit a Standard Donation Form. Under Form, to make text changes select what you want to edit and select Click to edit from the component on the form.

Note: Address automatically displays in French (Canada) and can't be edited.
