Donation Form Gift Aid

To give donors a way to increase the value of their gifts to your organisation, add Gift Aid to donation forms. It enables donors to make declarations that your organisation can claim at the basic tax rate for those gifts. For more information, see Gift Aid.

Declare Gift Aid

When a donor makes a declaration, they select the Yes option on the form. Doing so, adds a Yes declaration to their constituent record in the database view and all active No declarations end.

Decline Gift Aid

When a donor declines to make a declaration, they select the No option on the form. Doing so, adds a No declarations to their constituent record in the database view and all active Yes declarations end.

Note: The start date of a declaration is the date of the transaction.

To add Gift Aid to a form, edit or create a new form. Under Form, select and move Gift Aid from Gift Information in the Form Designer.

  1. To identify how forms receives Gift Aid, select a channel, such as Online to indicate where it originated.

    Note: In the database view, a channel is called an indicator. You can configure them in Declaration Indicator from Tables, in Configuration.

  2. To make changes to the Gift Aid text, make your edits under Gift Aid information label.

  3. To include a link for more information about Gift Aid, enter link text and the URL.

  4. To further group and identify declarations, select their source, such as Declaration form to indicate they came through donation forms.

    Note: In the database view, you can configure sources in Declaration Source from Tables, in Configuration.
