Cancel or Refund Fee Coverage
If a donor no longer wishes to cover the amount for future recurring gift payments, you can cancel fee coverage in their recurring gift plan. You can also refund the fee amount already paid for one-time and recurring gift payments.
Cancel fee coverage for future recurring gifts
To cancel the covered amount for future recurring gift payments, in the recurring gift record, select Amend gift amount.

For donor cover, clear Include <fee amount> Donor Cover on future payments.

For Complete Cover, clear Include <fee amount> Complete Cover on future payments.
Refund fees
For credit card transactions, you can refund the amount toward Blackbaud or the full amount. For credit card transactions where the donor covered the fees, you can refund a partial or full amount. Direct debits are refunded in full.
In web view, select Refund, and choose how much to refund. The gift adjusts and the amount returns to the donor’s original payment method. The refund also updates in Blackbaud Merchant Services.
