Close or Delete an Online Giving Form

When you no longer want an Online Giving form to accept submissions, you can either close the form or delete it. The best option depends on whether you want to preserve the form’s history and keep existing links active.

Decide Whether to Close or Delete a Form

Close a form when you want to stop accepting gifts but keep access to the form’s data and existing links. Closing a form helps you:

  • Set a specific date and time for the form to stop accepting gifts

  • Display a custom message to donors, including links to other Online Giving forms or webpages

  • Avoid broken links or QR codes that point to the form

  • Continue to view performance information and statistics

Delete a form when you no longer need it and do not need its performance history. When you delete a form:

  • Performance information and statistics are no longer available

  • The form no longer appears in Online Giving

  • If the form accepted recurring gifts, those gifts continue to process
