Custom Fields for Online Giving Forms
Use custom fields on Online Giving forms to collect information beyond the default fields. You can use custom fields to capture the details you need for your organization.
Applies to constituent forms and Standard Donation forms.
Custom fields must exist in Settings, Custom fields before you can add them to a form. Fields configured to allow only one value per record overwrite existing data.
The following field types are available for both form types:
-
Text
-
Number
-
Date
-
Yes/No
-
A Yes/No field appears as a checkbox. When left unchecked, the system records a No response.
-
-
Table
You can add a custom field only once on a form. You can reuse the same field across multiple forms, update its label, and set whether a response is required.
Differences Between Constituent And Standard Donation Form Custom Fields
Custom fields behave the same on both forms, but they store data differently and serve different purposes.

-
Store information on the constituent record
-
Capture details about the person completing the form, such as preferences or interests
-
Require that the field exists as a constituent field in Settings
Standard Donation forms
-
Use gift custom fields
-
Store information on the gift record
-
Capture details about the donation, such as attributes related to the gift
-
Require that the field exists as a gift field in Settings
